- Orkney islands (northeast)
- The Highlands (north)
- Dornoch (our summer home, 2009; northeast coast)
- Inverness (upper mid-eastern coast)
- St. Andrews (lower eastern coast in Fife)
- Edinburgh (lower than St. Andrews, eastern coast)
- Glasgow (western, south)
- Loch Lomond (middle, a bit west)
- Fort William, including Harry Potter’s Glenfinnan Viaduct (western)
- Isle of Skye (Western Isles)
- Durness (northwest coast)
